Standing up for yourself or your business against a multi-billion-dollar insurance company and its unlimited resources can be intimidating. Sometimes it takes more than just having the truth on your side to prevail. Having an “equalizer” on your side – someone who has already succeeded multiple times in the same battle as yours – can make a difference.

Who I Am.
My name is Jim Bushart, and I am the Missouri licensed public adjuster you will speak to when you call. I negotiate residential and commercial insurance claim settlements with insurance companies on behalf of Missouri policyholders for damage and loss from all insured perils.
What I Do.
I represent Missouri policyholders to their insurance companies, and I specialize in claims that have been denied or grossly underpaid, including denied claims that used reports from engineers to support the denials.
I turn insurance claim denials into paid claims. I reopen closed claims that were denied by the insurance provider or that underpaid, often turning those underpayments of only hundreds of dollars into final payments of hundreds of thousands of dollars after a thorough investigation and the use of correct and effective interpretations of policy coverage language.
As an advocate for the truth, I have also acted as both fact witness and expert witness for policyholders who have sought relief through the court for the wrongful use of engineer reports by their insurance companies to deny their claims for property damage.
I have also reviewed claims and advised policyholders when the decisions made by their insurance company were correct and reasonable, and I will explain to them why. Sometimes, but not always, insurance companies get it right. When they do, I’ll tell you.
How I Can Help You.
Over the last decade, I have earned the trust of policyholders, contractors, and attorneys who used me to achieve fair and reasonable settlements of insurance claims without lengthy and expensive litigation for themselves as well as their clients.
My successful experience and training as a Department of Defense claims adjuster/paralegal, Certified Building Analyst, and municipal residential and commercial building inspector provides me with the background, training, knowledge, experience, and skills necessary to correctly interpret and apply insurance policy language and requirements to damaged Missouri private and commercial structures.
I have also completed the educational requirements for the Property Claims Law Associate designation, widely recognized in the insurance industry as signifying a high level of professional competence.
Rather than simply settling on a “middle ground” compromise between two estimates, I have developed and use a technique that is unique among public adjusters; one that results in full payments that address the full cost of restoring damaged property to its pre-damaged condition, instead of lowballed or “ballpark” estimations made by insurance adjusters.
It is important to know that not every insurance claim requires hiring a public adjuster, but when unfair treatment by your insurance carrier is strongly suspected or confirmed, or when your claim is complicated and difficult to correctly present, I can help you.
Call me to discuss your claim to see if I can assist you.
Free Telephone Consultation for Missouri Policyholders
When you call me, you are not dialing an “800 number” that will be answered out of state.
Your contact information will not be collected and sold to a public adjuster network. I answer my own phone when you call, I am licensed only in Missouri, and do not adjust claims for policyholders outside of Missouri.
